1. Who is the data controller

The person responsible for any personal data processed through this website is Lucas Rappart, an independent designer based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Contact: contact@lucasrappart.com.

2. What data is collected

Personal data is only collected when you actively share it through one of the forms on this site, or as a by-product of browsing. Specifically:

• Contact & coaching application forms — name, email, optional phone number, and the content of your message or application answers.
• Newsletter — email address only.
• Client portal — login credentials and any files you choose to upload during an engagement.
• Analytics — anonymized usage data (page views, referrers, country, device type) collected by Vercel Analytics. No cookies, no cross-site tracking.
• Embeds — third-party iframes (Cal.com for bookings, Loom for the resume video, Spotify on the about page) may set cookies under their own privacy policies.

3. Why this data is collected

Each piece of data has a defined legal basis:

• Consent — newsletter subscription, cookies set by embeds, optional marketing communications.
• Contract performance — coaching engagements and client work require contact details, project information, and any files exchanged via the portal.
• Legitimate interest — replying to inquiries from the contact form, securing the website against abuse, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns.

4. How long the data is kept

• Inquiries with no follow-up — deleted within 12 months.
• Client and coaching data — kept for the duration of the engagement and 5 years afterward to comply with Swiss accounting obligations.
• Newsletter — kept until you unsubscribe; an unsubscribe link is in every email.
• Analytics — aggregated and retained for up to 12 months.

5. Third parties involved

Some data is processed by carefully selected service providers acting as data processors on my behalf:

• Vercel Inc. — site hosting and analytics (data centers in the EU and US).
• Resend (Resend Labs Inc.) — transactional emails and newsletter delivery.
• Cal.com Inc. — appointment booking iframe.
• Loom Inc. — embedded video on the resume page.
• Spotify AB — embedded playlist on the about page.

No personal data is sold or shared for advertising purposes.

6. International data transfers

Some processors operate in the United States. When your data leaves Switzerland or the EU, it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and recognized by the Swiss FDPIC, ensuring an adequate level of protection.

7. Your rights

Under the Swiss FADP and the EU GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data held about you,
• correct inaccurate or incomplete data,
• request deletion of your data,
• object to or restrict its processing,
• request a portable copy of your data,
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing,
• lodge a complaint with the Swiss FDPIC (edoeb.admin.ch) or your local EU data protection authority.

8. Cookies and tracking

The site uses no first-party tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless. Some embedded third-party content (Cal.com, Loom, Spotify) sets its own cookies under its own policy when you interact with it; you can block these in your browser settings without breaking the rest of the site.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in legal requirements or in the services offered. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change.
